Sexual attraction in itself is not real or tangible. It is illusory. It can be most accurately described as a mind-projection of our fantasies. As such, it manifests as a shifting and inconsistent feeling. That is why a significant number of romantic relationships begin with people who claim they are in love but along the line, become bitter enemies.
If you are looking for a lasting and fulfilling romantic relationship with another person, don't base your choice of a partner on sexual attraction or romantic feelings because they do not last. They are bound to change. It is their nature to do so.
So then, what is the lasting, real and tangible standard on which you can base your choice of a life partner?
It is your individual vision. What it is that you want from life.
Is she working towards achieving something I admire?
Does he value the things I value?
Where is she directing her life?
These are the tangible checkmarks by which you can make a sound choice of a life partner of real and lasting value. A person's vision is the only real thing about him. All others are illusions. Avoid the illusions. Open your eyes and see clearly. Keep your head clear always and live simply.
